We’re looking for a Technical Trainer to join our Learning & Development Team at Simply Conveyancing. This role shapes the future of learning, supports colleague development, and contributes to our mission of delivering exceptional conveyancing services.
Key Responsibilities
* Training Delivery & Design
o Develop and deliver training on all aspects of the residential conveyancing process, including technical processes, compliance, procedures, and soft skills.
o Design, develop and implement a structured trainee programme for Property Lawyers to enable career progression.
o Provide training for existing staff to enhance performance, support personal development, and ensure consistency and compliance.
o Create and manage a mandatory training calendar with subject‑matter experts (AML, GDPR, Fraud, Health & Safety) to maximise completion rates.
o Partner with IT and Compliance teams to produce and maintain training resources that promote best practice and regulatory requirements.
o Deliver training through multiple channels, including face‑to‑face, virtual sessions, e‑learning, and external providers.
* Training Materials & Resources
o Design, update, and maintain training materials and guides in line with current legislation and internal policies.
o Leverage learning technology (e.g., Articulate) to enhance delivery across formats.
o Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) as a central hub for resources and training records.
* Onboarding & Induction
o Support operational leaders in onboarding new starters through structured, role‑specific induction programmes.
o Coordinate with Talent Acquisition and HR to deliver core company induction programmes and manage the full onboarding process.
o Maintain induction resources and training records in the LMS.
* Monitoring, Compliance & Reporting
o Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, adjusting content and delivery methods based on metrics.
o Maintain accurate training records and provide regular reports to the Head of Legal Training.
o Manage Apprenticeship Levy funds to support staff training and professional qualifications.
* Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
o Work collaboratively with stakeholders to align training with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
o Proactively engage managers to identify training needs and foster a culture of continuous learning.
* Continuous Professional Development
o Stay current with legislative and industry changes to ensure training remains accurate and high quality.
o Maintain compliance with personal CPD requirements under CLC, SRA, CILEX, CIPD.
o Act as primary contact for apprenticeships and professional qualifications.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Professional qualification such as CLC, SRA or CILEX.
* CIPD qualification in Organisational Learning & Development (desirable).
* Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing caseloads (Freehold, Leasehold, Shared Ownership, New Build).
* Knowledge of AML legislation, Land Registry processes, lender requirements, and industry standards.
* Proven training experience with a track record of delivering in‑house training.
* Proficiency in case management systems and ability to train on IT workflows.
* Familiarity with learning technologies and LMS platforms; experience with Articulate is advantageous.
* Understanding of learning theories, styles and evaluation methods.
* Ability to deliver training across multiple formats with written resources.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
* Experience in training needs analysis and developing programmes to fill gaps.
* Track record of collaborating with stakeholders to identify and deliver training.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
* Confident facilitation skills for diverse audiences across delivery methods.
* Experience managing Apprenticeship Levy funds and supporting professional qualifications.

Additional Information

* Hybrid role based from Leeds, Cardiff or Daventry office; travel to offices required.
* Salary £40‑45,000 pa (dependent on experience).
