Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a global manufacturing to identify a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position is open due a recent promotion.

* The Senior Accountant will support financial operations of the company, including full responsibility for the Balance Sheet and P&L for multiple business units.
The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Responsible for the Balance Sheet and P&L for multiple business units including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and P&L variance analysis.
* Prepare month-end / year-end close reporting packages
* Answer accounting and financial questions by research and interpretation of data
* Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial information for non-financial management. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
* Summarize current and project company financial position by analyzing financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
* Maintain detailed support ledgers and documentation, such as fixed asset registers, and reconcile to ledger balances. Prepare work papers and schedules for statutory accounts, audits, and tax returns resolving issues for CPAs involved. Responsible for subsidiary tax payments and tax return filing; coordination of responses to tax queries from federal and state entities.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years’ experience in a related role or combination of education and experience required
• Experience filing sales tax returns in multiple states
• Experience with Accounts Payable
• MS Office – Excel experience Intermediate or Expert level required (including pivot tables and v-lookups)
