Job Summary
:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Field Engineer will provide technical support to the works being undertaken, to enable completion of the work in accordance with the programme and approved design drawings and specifications.
Major Responsibilities:
Work Planning & Packaging
1. Prepares field change documents and requests for information.
2. Prepares installation work packages for assigned scopes.
3. Supports and coordinates subcontract field activities and coordinates with the appropriate site management on activities affecting the contract administration operation.
Quantities
4. Validates installation of materials through inspection / documentation
5. Tracks progress of assigned subcontracts and provides input to project schedules and cost reports.
Safety/Quality Control
6. Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
7. Ensures housekeeping and cleanliness of the project.
8. Verifies material quality, workmanship, and assures results meet quality requirements based on codes, specifications, and design drawings,
9. Ensures work methods planned and executed safely.
10. Ensures compliance with contract documents.
11. Provides technical administration and supervision of assigned subcontracts.
System Turnover Coordinator
12. Coordinates with construction management on priorities and strategies for Subcontracted work: Schedules walkdowns for the scope Validates punch list for the scope Ensures inspection records are completed and submitted for the scope Coordinates with direct hire Supervision
STR/Subcontract Coordinator
13. Reviews and approves inspection test plans
14. Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
15. Develops daily reports of subcontractor progress and performance
16. Reviews and approves subcontractor invoices, monitors field activities, and coordinates technical oversight, monitors subcontract budget
17. Assists in processing of change orders, requests for information, and field change documentation
Education and Experience Requirements:
Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

18. Experience working in an operational environment, in a highly regulated industry
19. Temporary Works Coordinator experience
20. SMSTS
Desirable:

23. Black Card - CSCS or equivalent
