Riada are recruiting on behalf of a local Education Institution for a Science Technician, based in the Coleraine area.

You will support the teaching staff within the science department by preparing materials and equipment for lessons whilst maintaining the laboratories.
Duties will include:
* Providing equipment and materials to support Chemistry practical teaching
* Delivering equipment to classrooms; collecting, checking, and returning equipment to stores after lessons
* Preparing teacher demonstrations and assisting in practical classes as required
* Ensuring adequate stocks of glassware, goggles, bunsen burners in laboratories
* Preparing audio-visual equipment and teaching aids for teaching staff
* Maintaining laboratory equipment, apparatus, and resources, carrying out (or arranging for) the repair and replacement as necessary
* Assisting with the general cleaning of the laboratory sinks and benches; tidying and cleaning prep, room shelves, etc.
Criteria:
* Graduate in Science or related subject
* Previous experience in a similar environment
* Flexible and open to temporary work
