Our Metrowest client is looking for an Art Director with 5+ years' experience for an immediate role -this role starts this week and is 6 weeks to start but could extend. Looking for strong product branding, positioning, and extensive package design the portoflio--packaging is the most immediate need for this role so looking for multiple hands on packaging campaigns with portfolios--this role can be remote but we need the candidate to be based on the East Coast.

* Global Creative Vision:
* Expertise in developing design concepts that resonate across global markets, incorporating cultural insights while maintaining brand integrity.
* Ability to think creatively on a global scale, ensuring designs are adaptable to various regional requirements.
* Strong Packaging Design Expertise:
* Proven track record of creating innovative and functional packaging designs, including structural and graphic elements, that enhance the product’s appeal.
* Ability to develop both conceptual and production-ready packaging designs, considering materials, sustainability, and manufacturability.
* Digital Design Mastery:
* Expertise in creating high-quality digital designs for web, mobile, and social platforms, with a focus on user experience and engagement.
* Proficiency in digital tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.) to execute both static and interactive designs.
* Rapid Concept Generation:
* Exceptional ability to quickly generate multiple creative design concepts from the same brief, with minimal direction.
* Capable of working under tight deadlines to produce high-quality design options in a short turnaround time, critical for New Product Development (NPD) and packaging timelines.
* Flexibility with Competing Priorities:
* Comfortable managing multiple design projects with competing priorities, adjusting timelines and focus as needed.
* Skilled at quickly shifting between packaging design, digital executions, and other creative tasks while ensuring consistent quality and creativity.
* Creative Autonomy:
* Ability to take minimal direction and transform it into multiple design solutions, pushing creative boundaries while meeting project objectives.
* Capable of offering fresh and innovative approaches to design challenges without requiring constant supervision or micromanagement.
* Strong Understanding of Hierarchy and Spatial Design:
* Expertise in creating clear visual hierarchies and layouts, both in physical packaging and digital formats, ensuring the message is conveyed effectively and attractively.
* Skilled in balancing visual elements in space, whether working on a compact product label or a full-scale digital interface.
* Innovative Problem-Solving:
* Strong ability to not just take information and replicate it, but to inject new creative perspectives and ideas that elevate the project.
* Proven track record of rethinking conventional design solutions and introducing fresh, innovative ideas within established brand guidelines.
* Brand Consistency Across Touchpoints:
* Ability to create consistent design outputs that adhere to brand guidelines while still offering unique and innovative design solutions.
* Experience ensuring that both physical packaging and digital designs reflect the brand’s voice and personality across different media.
* High-Energy, Fast-Paced Work Ethic:
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, juggling multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality.
* Expertise in managing quick turnarounds, often delivering high-quality design iterations under tight deadlines, while balancing competing demands.

* Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all design elements are cohesive and meet both design standards and production requirements.
* Ability to spot and correct issues across both packaging and digital designs early in the process, ensuring a smooth and efficient production workflow.

* Constantly stays up-to-date with design trends in both packaging and digital spaces, adapting ideas to keep the designs fresh and relevant.
* Ability to apply cutting-edge design trends creatively while still adhering to the timeless principles of strong design.
