EP Langage Ltd are seeking a highly capable Site Services Engineer to take responsibility for the effective management of site services, buildings, and facilities at Langage Power Station. This role holds delegated authority for managing facilities management contracts, contractors, and budgets across a broad range of services including scaffolding, insulation, civils, and site infrastructure. Operating with minimal supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible for all facilities contract services, leading packages of work, ensuring compliance with statutory and technical standards, and supporting outage planning and execution while maintaining the long-term integrity and performance of site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the key duties include:
* Manage all building, facilities and grounds maintenance contracts. Writing scope and specifications for new contracts, review and amending existing contract specifications coming up for renewal. Facilitating the contractors carrying out the work under the contracts (creation of Work orders and getting the work scheduled) including direction supervision. Management of contractors onsite. Regular contract reviews. Review/storage and action inspection reports
* First line maintenance on site infrastructure. Regular review of SAP notifications assigned to Site services planner group. Progressing notifications and work orders through to completion in line with site KPI’s, through self, and contractors.
* Outages Support. Co-ordinating sites engineering and maintenance teams requirements for Scaffolding and Lagging with the term contract companies. Management of welfare facilities, security, cleaning during outages.
* Civils – Facilitate civil inspections of site. Including buildings, foundations, steel structures, storage tanks, Stack, and roads. Raise, prioritise and progress any defect notifications from civil reports and/or NDT inspections.
* Finance and budget management. – Manage within year site infrastructure budgets and phasing and minimise any variances. Contribute annually to the 5-year rolling business plan for site infrastructure. Produce a long-term maintenance plan and strategy for site infrastructure through to end of life.
* Support Engineering and Maintenance Teams – Support the Engineering and Maintenance teams both in and out of outages with any necessary support through self and managed contracts.
* This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and the jobholder may also be required to carry out other duties that may prove necessary for the proper performance of the job.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Background
* Proven experience in contract management, including the specification, placement, execution, and on-site management of contractors (essential).
* Demonstrable experience gained within the power generation industry (desirable).
* Good numeracy, literacy and problem-solving skills (essential).
* Demonstrable competence in use of IT/IS skills e.g. MS Office (essential).

Qualifications
* Completed a recognised formal training programme or apprenticeship to achieve technician status (C&G parts 1, II &III) (essential).
* Minimum of HNC (or equivalent experience) in an appropriate engineering subject (essential).
