At MacIntyre, we know that the best support starts with meaningful relationships, listening well, and believing in people's potential. We're looking for a passionate Senior Support Worker to join our team and play a key role in helping people live the life they choose.
You'll be supporting adults with multiple learning and physical disabilities, aged from their mid-twenties to mid-sixties, to enjoy everyday moments, build connections, and experience the things that matter most to them. Whether that's sharing a meal, spending time with friends, enjoying a favourite hobby, exploring the local community, or simply having a relaxed day at home, you'll help make those moments possible.
About the RoleAs a Senior Support Worker, you'll lead by example, helping to create a warm, welcoming and person-centred culture where everyone is valued and heard.
Working closely with the Frontline Manager, you'll:
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll provide hands-on support tailored to each person's individual needs. This may include:
Our homes are places where people live, not services where people are placed. Staff and the people we support share meals, celebrate achievements, build relationships and enjoy life together.
Why This Role MattersMany of the people we support communicate in ways beyond words. You'll learn to understand individual communication styles, recognise subtle cues, and respond with curiosity, patience and respect.
The impact of your support can be seen in the smallest moments—a smile, a laugh, a look of recognition, the confidence to try something new, or the comfort of feeling understood.
At MacIntyre, we are ambitious for the people we support and for each other. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a life that is rich in relationships, choice, belonging and purpose.
What You'll NeedWe're looking for someone who:
Join MacIntyre and become part of a team that values people, relationships and community. Together, we'll support people to live glorious ordinary lives—filled with choice, connection, purpose and the everyday moments that matter most.
Every day is different. Every person is unique. Every moment matters.
