Job summary

This is a casual, part-time role offering flexible working as a Bank Activities Assistant at a Barchester care home. You'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables the delivery of exceptional all-round care and support for the residents. The role involves devising imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, with the aim of maximizing the wellbeing, independence and social engagement of the residents.


Main duties of the job

As a Bank Activities Assistant, you'll be responsible for helping to devise and deliver a range of activities that celebrate life and engage the residents. This includes getting to know the residents and their families, and then creating tailored activity programmes that focus on improving their overall wellbeing. You'll need to be warm, empathetic and personable, with strong organisational skills and a driven mindset to ensure things get done. Your creative approach and infectious enthusiasm will inspire both residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community.

Your organisational skills and driven mind-set mean you always get things done and make things happen. Any similar experience would be ideal, but it isn't essential especially because we'll make sure you have the training you need to develop your skills and progress your career with us.
