Scope of the Role
This Industrial Designer role sits at the heart of a consultancy that designs products people genuinely depend on every day. Your focus day to day is the physical appearance, tactile quality, and aesthetic identity of the products you work on, from early concept through to production sign-off.
- Define form, surface aesthetics, and visual language across new product developments
- Lead CMF (colour, material, finish) decisions to deliver products that feel as good as they look
- Create sketches, renderings, and presentation visuals to communicate design intent clearly
- Work alongside engineers to preserve aesthetic integrity through development and tooling
- Contribute to concept generation and design reviews across a varied portfolio of live projects
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Proven background as an Industrial Designer, Product Designer, or Senior Industrial Designer with a clear focus on physical product aesthetics
- A compelling portfolio demonstrating CMF ownership, form development, and production-ready work across consumer or human-centred product categories
- Proficiency in industry-standard visualisation tools such as Alias, KeyShot, Rhino, or equivalent
- Understanding of injection moulding and manufacturing processes, and how material and finish choices affect how a product looks and feels
- Experience working within a design consultancy or agency environment, managing multiple live projects simultaneously
