General Cover Teacher - Secondary School in Telford

Salary: £90 - £130 per day (DOE)
We are looking for a flexible and reliable General Cover Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Telford. The role is to start ASAP and will involve covering lessons across various subjects when teaching staff are absent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an adaptable individual who enjoys a varied and dynamic workday.
Responsibilities:
Provide cover for absent teachers across a range of subjects.
Supervise and manage classrooms to ensure students remain on task.
Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring students stay engaged.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Support students with their work and offer help when needed.
Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working in an educational setting is desirable, but not essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students of all abilities.
A proactive and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to quickly adapt to different subjects.
Good classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
A passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
