Mechanical Engineer Location: Coleford Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: Competitive Excellent Benefits About the Role We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Coleford. In this role, you'll be responsible for producing detailed technical and design data that supports the development and manufacture of high-quality products. You'll ensure that all engineering outputs meet customer, industrial, environmental, and legal requirements, while providing expert technical support across the business. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate technical and design documentation in line with customer and industry standards. Design mechanical components and assemblies that meet quality, environmental, and safety requirements. Support the Engineering Management Team in achieving departmental KPIs. Provide technical support to internal teams, resolving issues and offering guidance as required. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and company policies. Maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and communication across departments. Collaborate with sales, operations, and other business functions to support project delivery. Skills & Experience Essential: NVQ Level 3 or HNC (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline. Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design (AutoCAD experience required). Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills. Experience with documentation and technical reporting systems.Desirable: NVQ Level 4 / HND or equivalent in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
