Job Description:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in our organization by undertaking essential and complex work with vulnerable adults. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting moving and positioning risk assessments to ensure the safety of individuals.
- Safeguarding vulnerable adults and implementing appropriate measures to protect their well-being.
- Performing mental capacity assessments to determine individuals' ability to make decisions.
- Conducting Deprivation of Liberty Assessments as necessary.
- Handling Continuing Healthcare (CHC) assessments and ensuring individuals receive the appropriate care and support.
- Providing crisis intervention for carers, informal carers, and service breakdown situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Social Workers and Social Care Practitioners to provide valuable support.
- Conduct equipment and manual handling assessments, offering advice and joint assessments where necessary.
- Provide recommendations and implement strategies to enhance individuals' independence and quality of life.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered with the relevant professional body.
