Experience Required:
* 1–2 years of experience in user desktop support with strong technical capabilities in this area.
* This experience should either be within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment or involve full IT responsibility in a small business setting.
Key Technical Skills:
* Practical experience supporting Windows desktops, including building PCs and troubleshooting issues related to operating systems, drivers, and software.
* Proficiency in supporting all versions of Microsoft Office, resolving a range of user‑related issues.
* Experience with server administration tasks, such as managing Active Directory, applying group policies, and resolving login issues, including those related to remote access.
* Administration of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive), including handling mailbox limits, shared mailboxes, and file/folder permissions.
* Support for mobile email, including setup and sync troubleshooting for mailboxes on smartphones.
* Ability to work independently, with a strong eye for detail and documentation. Must understand how to appropriately engage with users at varying levels of seniority and effectively prioritize tasks.
* Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English are essential for helpdesk phone support and customer‑facing communication.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):
* Basic scripting abilities, particularly with PowerShell or batch files.
* Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, ADSL routers, and VPN clients.
* Completion of at least one Microsoft certification exam.
* Familiarity with Apple Mac systems.
* Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper‑V or VMware.
* Experience in building and setting up Windows Servers.
