Part-time (21 hours per week)
Birmingham Newman University History degrees are flexible and innovative, offering students the opportunity to study a wide range of topics from the ancient to the modern world. We offer BA (SH) History (with Foundation Year) and BA (SH) History, and our graduates have the opportunity to progress on to MA (Hons) Applied Humanities. We attract students who are curious about the past, keen to understand contemporary issues of the day and eager to develop problem-solving skills for future graduate employment.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality teaching, learning and assessment on the BA History programme and on other related programmes as required.
* Teach across academic boundaries and encourage students to prepare for employment and active citizenship.
* Contribute to student development and support non-traditional and mature students.
Qualifications
* A degree in History
* PhD or near completion
* Experience delivering high-quality teaching in a higher education setting
* Experience working with non-traditional and mature students
