The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of a long-standing and respected engineering client based in Wolverhampton, who is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join their production team.

The Role - What You'll Be Doing
As a CNC Setter/Operator (Milling), you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Your key duties will include:
* Setting and operating CNC milling machines accurately and efficiently
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
* Ensuring correct tooling and fixtures are used for each job
* Monitoring quality throughout production, making minor offsets/adjustments as needed
* Identifying opportunities to improve cycle times and reduce waste
* Ensuring all products are processed safely, with care taken to avoid damage or health hazards
* Maintaining accurate stock and production records using a computer-based system
* Supporting other team members and apprentices when needed
* Promoting and adhering to health & safety, quality, and lean manufacturing practices

What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator - Milling essential
* Confident in reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high standards
* Experience with computer-based stock/production systems desirable
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement and teamwork
