Pharmacy Store Assistant
Band 2 - full time preferred but part time may be available.
We are looking for a reliable, conscientious and practical applicant to join our team of staff working in our busy store, providing an efficient stock management and distribution service to all wards, departments and dispensaries at Castle Hill Hospital.
Main Duties
* Receive all incoming pharmacy goods, checking identity, quantity and condition.
* Assemble, label and safely pack medicines for dispatch.
* Perform stock rotation to minimise wastage and monitor expiry dates.
* Maintain cleanliness, tidiness and security of the store area and yard.
* Ensure the availability and correct labeling of clinical and cardboard waste containers in compliance with Trust policy.
* Label and document all goods for return according to store procedures.
* Assist with delivery and collection of pharmaceuticals to and from other departments, maintaining a timely and accurate supply.
* Support filing of completed orders and other paperwork.
* Ensure designated storage areas and corridors remain tidy and safe in accordance with Health, Safety and Fire regulations.
* Participate in stock-take procedures and routine stock checks.
* Manage movement of stock to or from designated storage areas within the pharmacy store.
* Help with pharmacy deliveries and undertake the Trust driving assessment if required to use pharmacy transport.
Eligibility and experience required will be assessed during the interview. Candidates will be trained in checking deliveries against orders, correctly inputting stock into the pharmacy system and the robot, and in all safety and regulatory procedures relevant to the role.
