About the Role
We are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team from September 2026. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN, including EHCP needs
* Support pupils with learning, communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement support strategies
* Assist with adapting learning activities and resources
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
* Support pupils with personal care where required
* Monitor and record progress, contributing to reviews and meetings
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children with SEN (school or relevant settings desirable)
* Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
* Has strong communication and teamwork skills
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
* Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (or is willing to work towards them)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
