We’re expanding our engineering team and looking for a versatile Electronics Engineer who wants real ownership, enjoys solving meaningful technical challenges, and wants to grow in a company that invests in its people.
Salary range – £45,000 to £54,000
Location - Crowborough, East Sussex (Hybrid)
You’ll help maintain, enhance and develop the electrical and electronic elements of our world‑class product portfolio working across our high-performing multidisciplinary team.
About the Opportunity:
1. Design, simulate and implement analogue and digital circuitry
2. Provide accurate, achievable estimates for work packages
3. Create schematics and PCB layouts (Altium)
4. Perform calculations, component selection and technical reviews
5. Test, validate and debug electronic assemblies
6. Capture and present performance data
7. Design for EMC, safety, reliability and manufacturability
8. Carry out EMC testing
9. Collaborate with mechanical, software and systems teams
10. Support prototype builds and PCB bring‑up
11. Follow QMS processes and maintain a safe, organised lab
About You:
12. A collaborative and adaptable team player and problem solver, who takes real ownership of their work and embraces continuous learning
13. Experience designing mixed‑signal electronics (ideally instrumentation)
14. Knowledge of standards compliance and reliability methods
15. Experience with environmental/functional testing of electro‑mechanical systems
16. Conversant in circuit and PCB layout tools (specifically Altium)
17. Understands and follows change‑control steps
18. Familiarity with microprocessor design (STM32 / i.MX)
Nice to Have:
19. Experience with 61010 / 60079 safety standards
20. Functional Safety (IEC 61508)
21. Embedded C++
Education / Qualifications:
22. Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
23. Or a related engineering or scientific (Physics / Chemical Engineering) degree with relevant hands-on electronic engineering experience in industry

Location: Crowborough, East Sussex, UK
Hybrid Working: During the initial six months, the successful candidate will be onsite five days per week. After this period, a hybrid working pattern can be adopted, with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, 38 hours per week.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (flexible start and finish times)
