A Sales Manager analyses local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.
What will I be doing?
As Sales Manager, you will analyze local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Your responsibilities include:
* Analyzing local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
* Developing customer accounts and traveling within the local area to drive business into the hotel/cluster and increase market share
* Negotiating room rates/packages with corporate clients
* Developing and implementing creative local marketing channels, including social media
* Preparing company contracts in line with current business and pricing conditions
* Working within current business strategies and recognizing potential opportunities
* Collaborating with other hotel departments to create an exceptional guest experience and build strong sales programs
* Attending sales events as required
* Producing accurate, timely reports for the Sales Director and senior management, including appointments, calls, and leads
* Responding promptly and professionally to customer queries
* Managing staff performance in line with company policies
* Recruiting, managing, training, and developing the sales team
