Lancashire SEND Information, advice and Support Service is seeking a dedicated proactive and empathetic part time SEND IAS Liaison Officer to join our friendly and collaborative Team.
As Part Of The Statutory SENDIAS Service, You Will
Provide free, impartial and confidential advice to children, young people and their families on education, health and social care matters related to SEND.
You will work directly with families to help them understand their rights, options and available support.
Promote the service via the SENDIAS helpline, website, and community events. In addition to collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to improve service delivery and uphold SENDIAS minimum standards.
In This Frontline Role, You Will
* Respond to queries via the SENDIAS helpline, email and website, offering clear, impartial advice
* Signpost families, and professionals to appropriate services and support through the Local Offer
* Help service users understand their rights and options under SEND legislation
* Record and manage enquiries accurately, ensuring confidentiality and quality of service
* Work closely with IAS Officers to escalate complex cases and ensure consistent support
Essential Qualifications And Skills
* Minimum of 2 A-levels (or equivalent)
* Ability to manage a busy helpline and work independently
* Commitment to completing IPSEA Level 3 legal training within 12 months
* Excellent communication, IT and organisational skills
* Ability to work as part of a team

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.
