Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Factory Operative for a growing manufacturing facility within the timber manufacturing sector. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team involved in the production of high-quality structural components.
Working Hours:
🕗 Monday to Friday: 8am - 4.30pm
⏰ Total Weekly Hours: 40 (includes a 1/2 hour unpaid break)
Key Responsibilities:
🌳 Picking and cutting timber for production processes
📦 Engaging in the assembly of structural timber components
🔩 Performing some metal work as required
📏 Reading technical drawings and working to very precise measurements
🛠️ Operating machinery related to timber cutting (training will be provided)
Requirements:
🚗 Must have own transport due to the location
🪚 Prior experience in woodwork or a related area is essential (2+ years preferred)
⚙️ Familiarity with machine cutting and timber cutting processes is an advantage
📐 Must be able to read drawings and work accurately to millimetre-level precision
💪 Comfortable with heavy lifting and working in a physically demanding environment
