Job Title: Senior Process Engineer
Location: Falmer (hybrid working + site visits)
Salary: up to £65,000 depending on experience
Southern Water is currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join their Wastewater Process Engineering Team based in Brighton. Working as part of a dynamic and multiskilled team, you will be responsible for providing technical support in producing design deliverables on wastewater treatment projects and supporting site operations.
Responsibilities
* Produce process calculations, control philosophies, process flow diagrams, process and performance specifications, P&IDs, compliance and commissioning plans.
* Lead innovative process solutions which contribute to TOTEX efficiencies.
* Provide site operations support: improve site performance, support commissioning activities, implement optimisation measures and troubleshoot wastewater treatment plants.
* Mentor junior process engineers and share knowledge within the team.
* Analyse data to evaluate the performance of existing assets and develop process solutions.
Qualifications and experience
* Demonstrable track record delivering wastewater treatment process design with a good understanding of operations, optimisation and commissioning.
* MEng/BEng/BSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
* Ideally Chartered member of a relevant professional institution.
* Experience delivering wastewater projects and site operation support for UK Water Companies.
* 6 years of water industry or consultancy experience.
