What’s the job?
Reporting to the ZCM Global Chief Compliance Officer, you will be part of and work closely with the senior leadership team you will help identify and manage compliance risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
1. You’ll own, enhance, and expand Cover-More’s European compliance framework and monitoring programme, covering areas such as anti-bribery and corruption, anti-trust, sanctions, conflicts of interest, and whistleblowing.
2. You’ll lead and develop a high-performing regional Compliance team across multiple EMEA locations, building a robust and resilient compliance function.
3. You’ll advise the EMEA CEO and leadership team on all compliance matters, working closely with Zurich Cover-More Compliance and Zurich Group Compliance functions.
4. You’ll support the business in meeting regulatory obligations across EMEA, including Freedom-of-Services and Freedom-of-Establishment regimes.
5. You’ll manage day-to-day relationships with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) and other EEA/EMEA regulators.
6. You’ll provide expert advice on corporate, consumer protection, data protection, and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
7. You’ll guide regulatory compliance when entering new markets.
8. You’ll lead compliance risk assessments and assurance planning.
9. You’ll deliver compliance assurance activities on time and to a high standard.
10. You’ll offer strategic advice on complex compliance issues.
11. You’ll own and update compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with Group and local requirements.
12. You’ll drive awareness of compliance and risk through training and engagement with local teams.
13. You’ll support senior managers in understanding and fulfilling their regulatory responsibilities.
14. You’ll collaborate with the legal team to monitor and assess regulatory changes.
15. You’ll lead the evaluation and implementation of control changes in response to regulatory developments.
16. You’ll oversee regulatory change management initiatives across the region.
What are we looking for?
As the successful candidate, you will be able to lead and deliver exceptional compliance management to the business and our customers.
17. You’ll extensive experience in financial services and regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of the insurance industry – ideally with a background in general insurance and/or an MGA environment
18. You’ll have experience with cross-boarder passporting in the EEA
19. You’ll have proven experience leading regulatory relationships with the FCA, CBI or other equivalent regulator
20. You’ll thrive in complex, large organisational environments and have the ability to build and manage relationships across various business lines
21. You’ll have a proven track record in second-line monitoring, assurance, and risk management.
22. You’ll possess excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on execution.
23. You’ll be detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-impact results.
24. You’ll lead with integrity, set high standards, and inspire continuous improvement across your team.
