What you will do:
* Serve as the central point of contact for SGO and Connected Persons assessments
* Conduct joint viability assessments with children's social workers
* Undertake comprehensive SGO and Connected Persons assessments
* Review case records, assess children's needs, and coordinate with childcare teams
* Conduct assessment visits, observe contact with applicants and children, and propose transition plans
* Prepare court reports and support plans, attend professional meetings, and organise training workshops
* Support fostering panels, manage data collection, and engage in community events like SGO forums and fun days
* Create newsletters and generate leads for fostering opportunities
Requirements of the Social Worker:
* Professional Social Work Degree or equivalent, registered with Social Work England
* Proven experience in a role within Fostering, including SGO assessments and procedures
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to compile detailed reports
* Strong skills in relationship-building and teamwork
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and continued professional development
* Full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
