Workshop Manager (Welding / Machine Shop)
Salary: GBP 37,000 - 45,000 per annum (OTE 44-53,000) + benefits, pension, £500/month bonus.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced workshop manager with a background in fabrication, welding, or machine shop operations to lead a multi-disciplinary production team and manage workshop operations, scheduling, quality, and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and optimise workshop environment and production processes.
* Lead multi-disciplinary production teams.
* Ensure quality standards and safety compliance.
* Schedule production and coordinate with senior leadership.
* Produce hygienic stainless steel components and systems for a range of industries.
* Participate in strategic planning and business direction.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience managing fabrication/welding or machine shop environments.
* Experience leading skilled production teams.
* Background in producing fittings, valves, tubing, piping, or flanges is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of production processes and quality management.
* Background in industries such as hygienics, dairy, AI data centres is advantageous.
* Commuting from Bristol, Yate, Thornbury, Bath, Weston-super-Mare or surrounding areas.
