This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are committed to nurturing creativity and artistic expression in young people. The Role The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons aligned with the national curriculum and exam board specifications. Teaching a broad range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art. Encouraging experimentation, independent thinking, and creative risk-taking. Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress. Supporting GCSE and/or A-Level coursework and exhibition preparation. Contributing to enrichment opportunities such as clubs, trips, and whole-school creative events. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Art & Design. A portfolio demonstrating practical expertise across a range of media. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
