About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced teacher to work in our Inclusion Base. This is a new role created to cater for the needs of SEND children from Year 1 -Year 4 who need a highly personalised curriculum. There will be up to 10 children in the classroom with Autism and Communication needs as well as SEMH needs in the first year. You will be able to:
•Model and deliver exemplary planning, assessment, and teaching tailored to pupils with SEND
•Collaborate closely with the SENDCo and wider staff team to develop targeted, effective provision plans
•Adapt lessons to meet individual needs, ensuring high expectations and sustained progress
•Lead and manage support staff within your classroom, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
•Have knowledge of interventions i.e. sensory circuits, play interaction, colourful semantics etc. and be able to manage support staff to deliver these
•Promote pupils’ safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour
•Engage in professional development
The successful candidate is someone who:
•Has experience of working with SEND children in a primary setting
•Is passionate about inclusive education and has a strong commitment to supporting pupils with SEND
•Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills
•Is adaptable, resourceful and able to plan and adapt lessons that challenge and inspire every pupil
•Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with colleagues, pupils, and families
•Is eager to engage in ongoing professional development and contribute positively to our school community
•Is able to manage behaviour positively
•Be able to manage support staff with support from the SENDCo
