We\'re looking for an experienced Acoustic / Audio Research Engineer to join a world-class audio research team, shaping the next generation of AR/VR experiences. You\'ll be working onsite in Cambridge, in one of the most advanced audio labs in the world.
Offer / Employment details
* Annual salary up to £84,000 (paid weekly)
* 12-month PAYE contract (inside IR35) + possibility of extension
* Fully onsite, Cambridge
What You\'ll Bring
* Master\'s/PhD in a relevant technical field with 3+ years in audio technology R&D
* Strong track record in designing and running audio/acoustic experiments in labs
* Hands-on skills with Python, MATLAB, or MaxMSP for audio applications - must have
* Deep knowledge of acoustics and audio signal processing
Nice to Have
* Experience with psychoacoustics, spatial/room acoustics, auditory perception
* Exposure to prototype devices, motion tracking, ML frameworks (PyTorch)
Your Day-to-Day
* Design and run experiments with advanced audio capture systems and prototype devices
* Collect, process, and analyse acoustic data in custom lab environments
* Build tools and algorithms to support experiments
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of world-leading researchers
* Document your findings in technical reports
