The Pharmacy Department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Pharmacy Dispenser to support us in the delivery of pharmacy services at HMP Low Newton. Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high‑quality prison pharmaceutical service, maintaining a high level of security at all times. The post holder will be an integral member of the Healthcare Team and will support the delivery of pharmacy services which will include supply of medication, supervision of administration of medication to prisoners, and providing services to service users within your competency.

Qualifications
Essential
* NVQ level 2 in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* Experience of working in community/hospital pharmacy.
Desirable
* Knowledge of medicines management issues.
* Experience of working in a prison environment or similar setting.
Skills
Essential
* Good clinical pharmacy knowledge including terminology.
* Computer literate – able to use Word and Excel.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Has a good understanding of data protection and confidentiality issues.
