Introduction
In this role, you will be responsible for electrical works on a Tunnels and Pump Stations contract. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include undertaking planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and emergency responses on various electrical systems and associated apparatus located at network pump stations. The TfL Tunnels and Pump Station team is responsible for the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and control systems for 10 London road tunnels and 107 pump stations. They also handle renewals, intelligent transport systems, safety inspections, and cleaning.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electromechanical planned preventative maintenance duties on a variety of centrifugal and submersible pump types, associated electrical control equipment, and process monitoring systems.
Respond promptly to equipment faults at the Pump Stations to diagnose and repair defects.
Work closely with team members and subcontractors to maintain a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Operate a variety of equipment and plant vehicles to carry out required duties effectively.
Assist with ensuring that site and company equipment is always secure.
Raise problems and queries with the designated supervisor.
Carry out daily defect reports on vehicles and ensure they are maintained in good order.
Promote Health and Safety in the workplace and set a good example for other employees.
Perform other duties as required and be flexible to work different shift rota patterns
