We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager for the Norbreck Castle Hotel. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced Hotel and growing venue that hosts a variety of large events, including live music performances, comedy shows, boxing matches, corporate functions, and much more. The Hotel is excitingly changing in 2026 incorporating a new entertainment programme for families and individual guests.
As a General Manager, you will guide your Management Team ensuring the utmost standards are delivered in Accommodation, Food Outlets and Events.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Coordination - Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of events, ensuring all event details are thoroughly organized and aligned with the clients vision.
Hotel Management - Oversee day-to-day operations of the Hotel, ensuring that the all areas of the Hotel and associated areas are presented to a high standard.
Team Leadership - Manage and coordinate Hotel staff, including Food & Beverage, Front of House, Maintenance, Housekeeping and any external service providers.
Vendor Relations - Negotiate and liaise with external vendors (AV suppliers, catering, performers, etc.) to ensure that all services are delivered to the highest standards.
Budget & Cost Control - Oversee Weekly Forecasting for the Hotel, event budgets, ensuring all costs are kept within agreed limits while still delivering a premium experience for attendees.
Health & Safety Compliance - Ensure that all departments of the Hotel are compliant with health and safety / hygiene regulations
Post-Event Evaluation - Conduct debriefs after each event, gathering feedback from clients, staff, and attendees to identify areas for improvement and enhance future events.
