Medical Writer – Healthcare Communications (Promotional) Permanent – UK – Hybrid
I’m supporting a growing healthcare advertising agency that is looking to bring a Medical Writer into their expanding team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining scientific accuracy with creative communication, and who is looking to develop their skills across a wide range of promotional healthcare projects.
Create clear, accurate and engaging content across a variety of promotional materials, including digital assets, eDetails, sales aids, websites, congress materials, patient and HCP educational tools, and other multichannel deliverables.
Review clinical papers, data and background literature to identify key insights and contribute to the development of communication strategies.
Ensure scientific accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand messaging across your assigned projects.
Collaborate closely with account teams, creatives and strategists, contributing scientific input and supporting the development of high-quality work.
Conduct literature searches and desk research to support proposals, pitches and internal understanding of therapy areas.
Participate in internal and client meetings, discussing your work, presenting scientific rationale and helping to translate data into meaningful messages.
Work with senior writers and scientific leads to refine content, develop your capabilities and maintain high editorial standards.
A life-sciences degree (postgraduate desirable) and previous experience as a medical writer within a promotional medcomms or healthcare agency environment.
Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, compelling and audience-appropriate content.
Experience working on a range of deliverables within healthcare communications.
Confidence discussing work with internal teams and clients, with the ability to listen, interpret feedback and adjust content accordingly.
An interest in shaping content ideas and contributing to the scientific development of projects.
Passionate about science, healthcare and creative communication.
