The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join us as a Building Safety Assistant, helping to keep our residents safe in their homes. You will be part of a team that works to make sure our buildings are safe, compliant, and easy for residents to understand.
This role really makes a difference. The work you do will help create safer homes, stronger communities, and a better experience for the people who live in them. Whether you already have some building safety experience or are looking to learn something new, you will be supported to develop your skills and play an important part in delivering a high‑quality safety service.
Responsibilities
As a Building Safety Assistant, the role supports the delivery of building safety activities across the organisation. This includes keeping essential safety information up to date, helping to monitor compliance, and working closely with Building Safety Officers to ensure systems, records and certifications remain accurate and accessible. The role also involves handling building safety enquiries, helping residents understand safety and risk, and ensuring any issues are dealt with promptly and effectively.
Collaboration is central, with regular interaction with colleagues and external partners to maintain high standards of safety performance. There is also the opportunity to contribute to improvement work, assurance processes, and the development of a resident‑focused approach to building safety.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with curiosity, good organisation, and a genuine commitment to helping others. Some knowledge of building safety regulations is helpful, but transferable skills and a willingness to learn are just as important. Managing information, keeping accurate records, and working closely with colleagues to support a smooth and compliant safety process will be key parts of the role.

* Regular feedback, training and support from your manager and team.
* Comprehensive support in case of sickness with a generous sick pay scheme, critical illness cover and support through an employee assistance and counselling service and a cash plan benefit.

The role can be based at any of our offices in the South (Cardiff), North (Ewloe) or West (Newcastle Emlyn) regions. We offer flexibility in choosing the most suitable base location, while still ensuring strong links with the wider Building Safety Team. Regular travel between offices may be required at times, but your main working location can be aligned to the area that works best for you.
