Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £92.43 per day

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Workers to join our team at a specialist behaviour provision in Penarth.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to young people aged 7-18 with behavioural challenges. Your day-to-day will involve creating a safe and positive environment, implementing behaviour management strategies, and helping students develop social and emotional skills to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with behavioural needs in a structured and nurturing environment
Implement individualised behaviour plans in collaboration with the team
Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independence
Foster a supportive atmosphere to encourage social development and emotional regulation
Build trusting relationships to motivate and inspire students
About You:
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, ideally in a behaviour or special educational needs setting
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to different needs and situations
Flexible, proactive, and committed to making a difference
Essential Requirements:
Relevant experience supporting children or young people with behavioural challenges
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
