The main duties will be working in a busy pharmacy store, including receiving, issuing, and storing medication, and providing safe, timely, appropriate, cost-effective, and high-quality pharmaceutical services.
You must be able to work as a team member and independently. Although pharmacy experience is not essential, you must be willing to complete appropriate on-the-job training.
Part-time hours: 15.5 hours per week
Working hours: 08:30 to 12:00, Monday to Friday
Participation in weekend and bank holiday rotas is required. You must adhere to legislation, national, and local standards and procedures in all tasks performed. You will participate in the introduction and use of new technology and techniques as needed.
As part of the pharmacy team, you will provide safe, timely, appropriate, and high-quality pharmaceutical services, including reception, purchasing, distribution, and storage.
With training, you will acquire a working knowledge of the pharmacy computer system to use as required, following departmental policies and procedures.
You will maintain stock and consumable levels, ensuring stock rotation within designated areas according to procedures. General tidying and non-domestic cleaning duties will be performed as needed, including the safe disposal of waste.
You should have awareness of COSHH regulations regarding the storage, handling, and disposal of pharmaceutical products.
