Carbon60 are currently looking for a Mechanical Designer to work for a client of ours based in Broughton. This is a contract role running until November 2026. It is a 5 day onsite requirement. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing and analysing robotic concept solutions, performing complex simulations, and designing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic 2D and 3D models. You will contribute to the functional analysis and collaborative definition of requirement specifications, ensuring that safety concerns are properly addressed and that systems meet the company's high-quality standards. The successful Mechanical Designer will have a Master's degree or PhD in Controls, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field, along with hands-on experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Application Engineer, or Robotics Engineer, preferably in the industry. Proficiency in CAD software, such as CATIA or 3DX, and experience with robot simulation software are essential. Hourly rates will differ dependant on experience, we have both PAYE and Umbrella rates available.
