As a Design Engineer, you'll support the planning and delivery of civil and network design projects across the clean and wastewater sectors. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver investigation and design activities for water infrastructure projects to meet client specifications and industry standards.
2. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
3. Manage and prepare technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
4. Integrate innovative methods, materials, and sustainable design practices into your work.
5. Support the production of reports and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
6. Ensure full compliance with CDM, health and safety, and environmental regulations.
7. Assist with land access and statutory requirements in collaboration with clients.
8. Capture and compile documentation for H&S files and project completions.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in water/wastewater systems and civil engineering. You should be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Experience of Design in a Civils environment (MUST)
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Strong understanding of water and wastewater network systems and MEICA components
* Experience using AutoCAD 2D and GIS software
* Familiarity with network modelling tools (training can be provided)
* Awareness of process safety standards
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
