Their duties are to design,plan and deliverprojects to meet customer needs. The scope of the engineering builds may include hydraulic power units, control consoles, bespoke hydraulic systems, and manifolds.The project owner will be responsible for providing the technical information and documentation to the customer, suppliers, sub-contractors and our hydraulic technicians. They will be maintaining constant communication with the customer and ensure that all commercial, technical, and financialtargets are met.As part of this role there is an expectation that the projectowner will have presence in the workshopand on- site and may be involved in activities such as mechanical assembly and commissioning.This position will be a varied and challenging role with positiveopportunities for a motivated individual to develop the position to achieve their own career goals.Main Duties:Communication with customerReview and clarifycustomer requirementsPrepare engineering drawingsand hydraulic schematicsPrepare quotations and technical specificationsCarry out engineering calculationsSelect and size components to optimise systemperformance and costResolve problems and improve manufacturability and serviceability of productsPrepare technical specification for sub-contractorsPrepare technical documents for work files such as, work instructions & risk assessments, mechanical and electrical drawings,hydraulic schematics, technical procedures, and reportsSupport technicians and engineers duringtesting and commissioningControl work aftercompletion and issue the as-builtfinal documentsEnsure compliance with customer requirementsEnsure that projectfinancial targets are metReview the projectKPIs for debriefingAttend site or workshop when requiredSupporting in all areas of work where appropriateEmbrace and supportcompany valuesCandidate Requirements:2:1 Bachelor degree or equivalent in mechanical engineeringMinimum 3 years' experience Ability to carry out engineering calculationsKnowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical/control systemTime management skillsto handle multi-taskingUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and construction methodsGood knowledge of computer assisteddesign (CAD) software- Autodesk InventorpreferredInterest in workingboth in a desk and workshop environmentCreative approach for generating new ideasStrong background in math and scienceClear communicator both written and verbalSkilled in Microsoft Office packages including Excel and WordEligible to work permanently in the UK.Full driving licenseKPI's:On time, specification and in budgetdelivery of own projects at all timeEnsure compliance of designs to customer specification and standards at all timePreparation of tendersand quotations on time with at least10% conversion rate.If you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now!The employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
