Senior Housing Support Officer Salary and Hours: up to £25,800 37.5hpw (1year fixed term - Maternity cover) Immediate Start ProSkillz Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Housing and Well-being Lead, to join a Women's Social Enterprise that empowers, supports, and houses vulnerable women and those fleeing domestic/cultural/sexual abuse. We are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced housing professional to deliver a quality service and lead a team. Purpose of Role: To ensure that all ladies are housed safely and happy; and being supported to live life to their potential. The ideal applicant would have autonomy, flexible working, 20 days holiday (pro rata), development coaching, freedom to shape your role and run with ideas, CPD and genuine support from management. Main responsibilities would include: 70% direct delivery to support the progress and intention of tenants. 30% business support and development (including staff management) Liaise with Housing Benefit and other official bodies to ensure housing benefit claims are live. Carry out compliance checks, safety audits and property inspections. Update, organise and manage ladies files ensuring that all relevant information is recorded accurately. Help ladies to design their support plan. Complete documentation such as sign-up paperwork, risk assessments, incident reports, log notes etc and carry out monthly reviews. Carry out any housing related duties that support the upkeep of proactive and positive housing environments. Clean and prepare rooms and sites ready for new tenants. On-call duties Community and Wellbeing Mentor ladies to develop their life skills, confidence, responsibility, and employability to live independently without support. Support tenants to write and create blogs/vlogs or literature of their choice. Demonstrate commitment to Equality and Diversity Sensitively and professionally challenge traditional approaches to support. Business Support and Development Line management responsibility of staff including supervision, leadership and performance monitoring. Assist Managing Director with designing and facilitating social engagement projects. Design/update tenancy and social activity material. The successful applicant would need Enhanced DBS and reference checks before starting the role.
