Length of Placement: 12‑month Fixed Term Contract with significant potential to roll off into a Permanent role.

We are delighted to open applications for our Military & Elite Athlete Talent Placement Programme – September 2026 Intake. This programme supports individuals transitioning from the Armed Forces or elite sporting careers into a new professional role, offering hands‑on experience within a FTSE100 organisation, tailored support, and community engagement.
What you’ll do
As a Facilitation Lead, you will ensure learning delivery aligns with business and operational needs, focusing on facilitator performance, quality assurance and delivery standards. You will manage a team of facilitators to deliver high‑quality, learner‑centred training across Learning and Development.
During your placement, you will:
- Align learning delivery with Centrica’s strategic goals and operational priorities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team of facilitators, promoting trust, accountability and delivery quality
- Coach team members to build facilitation capability and confidence
including being visibly present in academies to role‑model effective delivery techniques - Manage facilitator quality and performance through coaching and feedback
- Influence stakeholders and communicate effectively across functions, working in partnership with Learner Experience and planning teams to optimise delivery and scheduling
- Use data and analytics to inform decisions, identify performance gaps in delivery and drive improvements in learner outcomes
- Lead teams through change with empathy and resilience
- Ensure learning delivery meets internal quality standards & regulatory requirements
- Manage feedback loops using facilitator insight, learner feedback and performance data
- Embed accessibility, SEN and inclusive learning principles into all programmes
- Promote digital and AI‑enabled approaches to enhance learning impact and delivery efficiency

Knowledge of:
- Learning and development strategies and facilitation best practices
- Leadership theory and coaching models
- Learning analytics and performance metrics
Skills in:
- Coaching and capability building
- People and performance management
- Quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder influence and communication
- Data‑driven decision making
Experience in:
- Leading training and/or L&D teams or facilitation functions
- Delivering training, coaching, or leading capability development in operational environments (e.g. HSE, training, engineering, financial) – ideally with an understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Monitoring and improving learning delivery quality and consistency
- Digital learning technologies, virtual delivery platforms and AI‑enabled tools
- Applying inclusive learning and accessibility standards
