Perform MOT tests on customer vehicles in line with Ministry standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Diagnose and repair vehicles, providing support in the workshop when required
Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
Work closely with team members to facilitate a smooth workflow in the workshop
Stay informed of industry regulations and technical advancements relevant to MOT testing
Assist with vehicle safety inspections and minor repairs as instructed
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols within the workshop environmentRequirements:
Valid and active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licences; application for the MOT Tester position requires current licence status.
UK Driving Licence, with minimal points
IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred
Alternatively, extensive hands-on mechanics experience with an active MOT licence will be considered
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Ability to work efficiently within deadlines and accurately in a fast-paced environment
