Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver and Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods to clients efficiently while also supporting warehouse operations. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining smooth warehouse functions. A valid driver's licence and experience in commercial driving are essential, along with the ability to handle physical tasks and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Duties
* Safely operate company delivery vehicles, to transport goods to various locations
* Follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals
* Load and unload products, often requiring heavy lifting, in a safe and organised manner
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
* Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation, stock take, order picking and general cleaning
* Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, safe, and organised at all times
* Communicate clearly with team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes
* Follow all health and safety regulations during driving and warehouse activities
Experience
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is preferred
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
* Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; a forklift qualification is desirable
* Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is beneficial
