The role includes working in homes, community venues and drop-in settings.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting delivery of the Healthy Child ProgrammeCompleting Family Health Needs Assessments for mandated reviewsProviding targeted interventions to vulnerable familiesSupporting infant feeding and parent–infant relationships in line with Baby Friendly standardsDelivering behavioural and parenting support using the Solihull Foundation Approach and Five to ThriveWorking with families requiring Early Help, Child in Need or Child Protection support (under supervision)Participating in drop-in clinics and facilitating group sessions (including virtual platforms)Undertaking Looked After Child assessments as requiredMaintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical recordsContributing to safeguarding, clinical supervision and appraisal processesActing as a mentor to pre-registration nursing studentsThe Ideal CandidateWe're looking for a compassionate and motivated nurse who is committed to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families.Essential:NMC registration in a field of nursingExperience working with children and familiesUnderstanding of child developmentKnowledge of local and national Children's Services and Public Health policiesStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearlyAbility to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary teamFull driving licence and access to a carConfident IT skillsDesirable:Registered Children's NurseExperience in a multi-disciplinary environmentKnowledge of behaviour change theoryPractice supervisor/assessor qualificationInterest in progressing to SCPHN (Health Visiting)If you're passionate about prevention, early intervention and making a real difference in the community, we would love to hear from you.
