The role
Due to increasingworkloads we are looking fora Sign Makerwith experiencein all facets of sign production.
Graphics & Digital Printing
* Read and understand drawings and schematic diagrams of artwork to be created
* Prepare artwork for printing and set up of printing equipment
* Completion of all jobs to high standard for maximum customer satisfaction
* Carry out jobs in accordance with documented work and Quality procedures including keeping records on job dockets
* Ensure the use and maintenance of all tools / equipment comply with safe and efficient work procedures
* Take personal responsibility for learning to operate new equipment and techniques
* Use of equipment and systems computer systems as directed (and once properly trained)
* Fulfil various “hands-on” tasks across other areas of production when required
Product & Industry Knowledge
* Maintain updated knowledge of company products and services
* Identifying industry trends for best-in-class graphic design techniques
* The right applicant will have experience operating a flat bed and digital printers. Experience in the following software is preferred:
o Adobe software
o Sign specific software
o Artwork proofing system
Organisation Compliance
* Actively support the Operational Key Performance Indicators including;
o Quality of finished jobs
o Safety statistics
o Delivery of jobs on time, in full
The Applicant
* Must be conversant with all aspects of computer graphics and associated hardware and software
* Needs to display a good understanding of sign layout ability and design flair
* Must have experience in the sign industry
* Must have a good understanding of typefaces
* Must be able to read and understand drawings and schematic diagrams
* Must have good communication skills
