We’re working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Leeds who are looking for enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants. Whether your degree is in Psychology, English, Maths, Counselling, Literature, Fine Art, or a related subject, your skills and enthusiasm could have a real impact in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting pupils in class, in small groups, or on a 1:1 basis
Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and creative learning activities
Supporting children with SEND or additional needs (training provided)
Building positive relationships and encouraging good behaviour
Gaining valuable school-based experience to support future careers in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, SEN, or youth work
What We’re Looking For
A degree (2:2 or above)
A genuine interest in working with children
A proactive, patient, and reliable approach
A willingness to learn and develop in an educational environment
Experience with young people (tutoring, volunteering, holiday clubs, etc.) is beneficial but not essential
