Salary: £112,200 + depending on experience with executive benefits
What You'll Be Doing
Working as a core member of the Maritime & Land Sector Digital, Data and Cyber Leadership team
Delivering a Cyber Security Strategy integrated with Customer, Business and wider Technology strategies
Leading on Sector specific: threats, customer / regulatory requirements and technology security paradigms
Understanding, impacting and shaping evolving customer and regulatory cyber security requirements
Working with UK / International regulators to enabling secure international data sharing and collaboration
Being the Sector Lead for cyber security major incident management
Leading / directing subordinate business unit cyber security activities
Maintaining the all up Sector cyber security compliance state, driving resolution on non-compliances
Managing Sector supply chain risk management
Managing Sector cyber security risk management
Supporting related wider organisational transformation programmes
Your Skills And Experiences
Expert in UK/US defence-related cybersecurity requirements (e.g., DefCon 658, CMMC), Microsoft 365 security model, and deploying & securing UK classified systems
Significant experience of working in and managing an IT Function and relevant field with familiarity with IT trends and good practice
A good level of experience in supporting the delivery of key projects in many if not all of the IM&T Cyber skill sets
Proven leadership in managing disparate teams, working internationally with multinational government and industry stakeholders, and excelling in stakeholder management and influencing senior leaders across multiple functions
Possesses a strong commercial acumen and advanced budget management capabilities, with direct responsibility for overseeing and managing budgets
Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Cyber Security Professional – ChCSP) or the ability to attain it within the first year, with bonus certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISA) and a bachelor's degree or relevant security qualification/experience

The Cyber Team
As Head of Cyber, you will lead the delivery of the business Cyber Strategy as defined by the IM&T Chief Information Security Officer. You'll ensure alignment with business needs and objectives through effective stakeholder management, while maintaining cyber security policies and controls that are proportionate to risks and adaptable to the evolving threat landscape, business demands, and legal/regulatory requirements.
