To ensure that the processes used in the manufacture of products within the Glenrothes facility are efficient and effective resulting in high quality product.\nTo be able to provide support to the production team and R&D teams for New Product Introduction.\n To provide engineering support to the production team, including but not limited to:\n\no\tProcess support\no\tProcess improvement (lean etc.)\no\tTraining of staff as required.\no\tAppropriate documentation to meet manufacturing requirements.\no\tSupporting quality issues within manufacturing\no\tDevelopment of a visual factory\n\nNew product Introduction â provide local support and guidance for New Product Introduction (NPI), including but not limited to:\no\tBuild prototype and pre-production products\no\tBOM checks / verification / creating of Corrective Actions\no\tPreparation of documentation to support the new product\no\tTraining of the production team to ensure quality.\n\nTo work towards providing engineering support to suppliers, contract manufacturers and other group companies, including but not limited to:\no\tSharing ideas and best practise.\no\tProvide training and guidance.\no\tVisiting and working at alternative sites.\n\nDrive progress and improvements through lean manufacturing techniques.\nGeneral maintenance within the production facility.\n To enable you to enrol on the Honors degree course at Dundee University you must have\nâ¢\tA foundation or Modern Apprenticeship in a relevant area along with a Higher in both maths & a science or engineering â physics is preferred \nOr\nâ¢\tBBBC at Higher including both maths and a science or Engineering subject (Physics preferred) \nOr\nâ¢\tRelevant work experience \nOr\nâ¢\tEquivalent\n\nAll applicants are treated on a case-by-case basis so work experience will be considered alongside qualifications.
