Maintenance Engineer
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing client based in Bilston. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity to join an established engineering team supporting production, facilities, and continuous improvement across the site.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in maximising production uptime, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.
Your Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:
* Managing daily engineering resources to ensure production runs effectively and customer requirements are met
* Planning, monitoring and deploying Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance
* Providing engineering support to other group companies where required
* Carrying out repairs to buildings and non-production equipment
* Organising quotations and managing contractor works
* Evaluating equipment performance and implementing improvement actions
* Recommending and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and safety
* Minimising production costs and wastage
* Spare parts planning and inventory control
* Maintaining accurate maintenance and compliance records
* Procuring and managing external service providers for specialist works
Requirements
* Good communication and time-management skills
* Flexible, positive attitude and strong team-working ability
* Respectful and professional approach
* Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Experience working with CNC and PLC machinery
* Experience with rotary flatbed die-cutting presses, horizontal splitting machines, and slitter/rewind lamination equipment
* Ability to follow procedures and technical instructions accurately
Working Hours
* 38 hours per week
* Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 17:00
o Paid 10-minute morning break
o Unpaid 30-minute lunch break
