A friendly and community-focused primary school is looking for a calm, organised, and approachable Office Assistant to join their busy office team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact, keeping things running smoothly, and supporting both staff and families day to day.
What you’ll be doing
No two days are quite the same, but you’ll be at the heart of school life, helping with:
* Welcoming parents and visitors, offering support and information with a friendly face
* Answering calls and directing enquiries to the right place
* Monitoring registers and following up on pupil absences
* Preparing fire drill schedules and related documentation
* Filing and maintaining accurate, well-organised records
* Photocopying teaching materials and school communications
* Updating school systems with pupil and staff information
* Maintaining student records in line with school procedures
* Supporting incoming and outgoing communication, including emails and newsletters
* Assisting staff with admin tasks such as data entry and document preparation
* Following confidentiality and safeguarding procedures at all times

The details
* Hours: 10 hours per week (2 hours per day, start time between 8:30am and 9:00am, agreed at interview)
* Contract: Term time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
