Want to work as part of an award-winning team at one of the happiest Trusts in the country? We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join our team of 12 Consultants providing comprehensive Gastroenterology and Liver services. Subspecialty interests are welcome, particularly subspecialty training in hepatology, and expertise in endoscopy training, ERCP, EUS or GI physiology is also valued. Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, bowel cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, and nutrition services are already well developed; supplementary skills will be very welcome. If you are seeking a modern and innovative Trust that is easy to access, consider this your next career move.

You will also participate in the on-call gastroenterology service which includes weekend morning ward rounds and an out-of-hours GI bleed service (1:9 rota currently). You will be expected to participate in business planning of Gastroenterology services in collaboration with the other consultants in the department and hospital management.
We are proud of our improvements at Sherwood Forest Hospitals, and we recognise there is more to do. Our aim is to deliver high-quality healthcare by focusing on the experience of patients, the public, and colleagues. This is underpinned by two commitments: ensuring patients receive the same standard of care we would want for our friends and family, and treating colleagues with the values of support, kindness and respect. We seek to work with partners to extend beyond our hospitals to help the local population become healthier. Since 2019 we have been delivering healthier communities and outstanding care, in partnership with Primary Care Networks and the Mid- Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Provider and Integrated Care System.
